Abstract

The T-REX (Transportation Expansion) project is a large design-build project on I-25/I-225, in Denver, Colorado. The project commenced in June 2002 and was scheduled for completion in September 2006. The project involves highway expansion, reconstruction and the addition of light rail transit. Also included are the design and reconstruction of associated service and system interchanges and ITS sub-systems on these two freeways and selected arterial streets throughout the Denver metropolitan area. This document describes development of the T-REX project and concludes that it is one of the most extensive multimodal transportation projects in the history of Colorado. For the covering abstract see ITRD E139966.
