Abstract

TAPESTRy was a three-year project that looked at ways to communicate sustainable transport messages. It centred on 18 local campaigns in countries across Europe, on issues such as promoting cycling to school, improving the image of public transport, and encouraging walking for health. This searchable CD-ROM gives you an in-depth look at the TAPESTRY project. It brings you details of how the case studies were designed, implemented and cross-analysed. It also includes the Best Practice Guidelines drawn up from the findings - an invaluable tool for those planning their own sustainable transport campaigns. TAPESTRY brought together 24 project partners from local authorities, campaign organisations, public transport operators and research bodies in 12 countries. It was funded by the European Commission under the 5th RTD Framework Programme. (Author/publisher)
