Abstract

A test of motorcycle operator skill was developed for use by state licensing agencies. The test was developed from a systematic and comprehensive analysis of critical on-street motorcycle operator tasks and the skills that underlie the performance of these tasks. On the basis of results, it was concluded that the analytically derived skill test constitutes the best available measure of critical on-street motorcycle operator skills and is sufficiently valid to warrant being employed as a license test.
