Taxicab usage in New York City poverty areas.

Abstract

The use of legal and illegal taxicabs in the Central Brooklyn Model Cities area is examined. Even though the area was well served by other forms of public transportation taxi usage in this poverty area is high. Recommendations are given for legalizing and controlling New York City taxis.
