Abstract

The structure of a graded scheme for teaching pedestrian skills to children based on present knowledge of what children can do, and what can be thought, is shown. The first point in the structure is to keep the child away from the road and path; and the final most advanced point is the adult approach of selecting a safe time rather than a safe place to cross.
