Abstract
In this paper it is endeavoured to answer the question in as much the consequences of accidents can be alleviated by improvements made to the active safety. An analysis of accidnets has clearly evidenced that a vast majority can be traced to the imponderabilities of human reaction and only a scanty few to technical defects.
