Abstract

Each city in Korea has actively collected city traffic information by constituting a traffic information center. The traffic information center in each city mutually exchanges traffic information of its own. For their traffic information exchange, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs has distributed a technology standard for traffic information exchange. The technology standard includes the following: (1) the basic technology standard for basic traffic information (legislated as of the December 31, 2004 Notice by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs No.2004-513); and (2) the basic technology standard for Public Traffic (BUS)information (legislated as of the November 30, 2004 Notice by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs No. 2005-390). In order to exchange traffic information, it is necessary to develop a traffic information exchange system by applying the aforementioned technology standard in compliance with its purpose. In order to complete the construction of a traffic information center applied with the technology standard, it is required to go through a verification of standard application.
