Telecommunications systems for highway administration and operations.

Abstract

A survey is made of existing telecommunications systems employed by several highway agencies throughout the U.S.A. thereby emphasizing that telecommunications support for traffic engineering is playing an increasingly important role. The various aspects of the system in order to improve its operation are presented.
