Abstract
Telecommunication services are still a managerial noman's land to transport firms. There is lack of knowledge in the field of the strategic benefits of investments in telecommunications infrastructure and hardware. At least two different markets must be considered; supply and demand of telecommunication infrastructure and software for conversion utilities. However, because of market dynamics standardisation is not yet well developed.
