Abstract

This paper aims to indicate tendencies of uneven regional distribution of telematics use in West Germany. One effect of this development might be an increase in existing disparities. Therefore political and planning consequences have to be drawn. Before discussing recent results of research in the field of telematics diffusion, a short introduction given into hypotheses on the impacts of telematics on regional development and into political and planning reactions.
