Abstract

This paper describes a software framework for telematics applications. In addition to current software architectures it provides well defined interfaces and functionality to exchange data between different algorithms and it provides interfaces and functionality to define the sequence of calculation; thus the main loop is part of the framework. Most details are based on design patterns which describe well known solutions for well known problems in software engineering. The presented framework is used in the projects MANAH and MOBINET in Munich to bring new measures like graphical message displays and control algorithms to reality on motorways.
