Abstract

MOBINET is a transport management project making use of Intelligent Transport Systems. It is a five year project financed by the German Ministry of Education and Technology in the context of the programme "Mobility in Metropolitan Areas". Major application areas are new mobility concepts, multimodel transport supply in rural areas, optimisation of traffic on the arterial networks, multimedia information service and linking of traffic information and control centres. MOBINET builds on the concept for a Cooperative Transport Management and the achievements of EU funded projects LLAMD / Munich-COMFORT, TABASCO, and COSMOS as well as on the Bavarian funded projects MANAH and BAYERNINFO.
