Abstract

The realisation of the Common Market in 1992 will not remain without consequences for transportation. Transport companies will grow and cooperate on an international scale whereas logistics will have to meet increasing requirements (control of goods flow). In this regard telematics as a collective noon for telecommunication and information technology will take on particular importance, provided that developments are coordinated and integrated in time between all parties concerned.
