Abstract

There is an increasing usage of videotexsystems and among them teleshopping draws increasingly attention. In the Netherlands and in other countries there is a lack of information about the effects of teleshopping on behaviour in time and space. For more actual information a postal interview among 150 customers was carried out. Two main motives for the use of teleshopping are mentioned by most interviewees: the greater comfort, no need for carrying (74%) and the saving of time (47%).
