Tenth-scale models of stiffened flanges of steel box girders.

Abstract

Two steel boxes with stiffened flanges were tested to assess the validity of using small models to study the collapse behaviour of box girder components. Measurements on residual strains, panel imperfections, and stiffener imperfections were made, and the results are discussed.
