Abstract

Automobile traffic provides a big contribution to the air pollution in the Netherlands. For some chemicals the contribution is increasing. At TNO research is started into the chemicals, which turn up in our living environment via exhaust fumes. The repel of the air pollution should come by the automobile traffic itself. Limiting of speed; decrease of lead admixture; decrease of benzene admixture and the decrease of nitrogen dioxide exhaust are discussed.
