Abstract

The purpose of this research program (presented in four volumes) was to conduct quantitative, non-destructive, and crash tests on two prototype Experimental Safety Vehicles from each of two competing development contractors, Fairchild and AMF. The results of these tests were analyzed and used as the basis for determining the best overall vehicle safety design.
