Abstract

The purpose of this research program (presented in four volumes) was to conduct quantitative, non-destructive, and crash tests on two prototype Experimental Safety Vehicles from each of two competing development contractors. Crash injury reduction results were evaluated to determine best overall design of the vehicle occupant compartment.
