Abstract

The objective of the study were twofold: 1. to design, fabricate and operate a device (Fixed Parametric measuring Device- FPMD) for measuring the inertial properties of heavy vehicles, and (2) to test and evaluate heavy vehicle barriers using a range of vehicle types. The FPMD was calibrated and applied to a variety of heavy vehicles to determine weight, center of gravity, and moments of inertia. This volume is Volume 2 of two volumes, Volume 1(B 22628) is the main technical report.
