Abstract

Management of various ITS devices is one of the important topics to be considered. Standard Development Organisations have already started a study of applying Management Information Base (MIB) to ITS roadside devices. In this paper, a test method of MIB for ITS roadside devices is newly proposed based on the conformance test method for protocol entity of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI). The proposed method will contribute to the rapid development and the wide deployment of the roadside devices and achieve interoperability between centres and roadside devices provided by multi-vendors. It can be applied to any types of MIB in ITS and gives ITS implementers feasible guidelines of testing MIB.
