Abstract

As the UK, and other countries, are said to be experiencing increasing numbers of older drivers, the study investigates older driving skills to determine whether they are less able, or lack ability, in specific circumstances. It is also thought important to examine what factors help to predict performance. Data was analysed to determine whether performance is equivalent across a range of situations or whether some aspects of driving present particular problems to specific age groups.
