Abstract

This report precedes the development of a laboratory test facility, which will enable to screen the safety effects of newly developed in-vehicle information systems (IVIS), electronic applications to support the drivers by providing real-time advice, warning or instructions. The theoretical framework for an IVIS-LabTest is elaborated and the contours of the test environment are briefly sketched. (Author/publisher)
