Abstract

The problems besetting the driver on motorways are discussed. Weariness and drowsiness, insufficient tyre pressure, insufficient attention to weather conditions, in particular foggy conditions, driving distance from the car in front. Measures taken and devices developed for counteracting the above problems are briefly described.
