The theoretical models of analysis of the disablement process : applications to the concept of mobility.

Abstract

Four models of analysis of the disablement process are currently identified: the biomedical model, the world health organization model (ICIDH), the situational model, and the quality of life model. These models are closely related to each other, and are complementary to each other. The relevance of these models to personal mobility is discussed.
