Abstract

Recently, the compliances of suspension and steering system become very important in order to meet various demands in the market, in the areas of stability, controllability, ride comfort, noise and vibrations. In this report, the effects of these compliances on directional control dynamics, which have only been considered qualitatively, are analyzed theoretically on a quantitative basis.
