Abstract

The existing methods of traffic assignment to a road network may be roughly classified into two groups, one is the "All or Nothing" method based upon "minimum path" and the other is the "Assignment Rate" method. The method described here is the assignment rate method by computation using simultaneous equations in consideration of capacity restraint. There are several unique characteristics in this method.
