Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to constitute the design and construction as a pure art of science. That is, to enhance its use as a function in the development of bicyclism. To clearly differentiate from the generally accepted concept of bikeway, a new term, which is called veloroutes, is defined. Veloroutes, meaning swift roads, can be defined as those bicycle routes which are especially designed to incorporate all the knowledge of the principles in the art and science of bicycling.
