Abstract

The DRIVE Project V 1020 "Tidal Flow Systems" deals with the examination of tidal flow systems and appropriate control strategies for their operation. Recommendations on operational and implementation issues will be based on a series of strategies applied to two different sites - a rather large tidal flow system (seven lanes with three reversible) at Barcelona and a smaller one (three lanes with one reversible) at Lisbon. Furthermore the Consortium has investigated the benefit tidal flow systems could bring in the framework of an integrated Road Transport Environment (IRTE).
