Abstract

Models are used to provide an insight into future development and the factors which play a role in the change. One can use models in the planning of phased improvements and to simulate the result of possible governmental measures (e.g. regional planning). Models can also warn against undesirable developments. In all cases the models must be theoretically sound, and able to produce a feasible result within a short period of time.
