Abstract

This paper attempts to demonstrate the traffic behaviour and phenomena under normal morning peak conditions and to examine the suitability of a two-regime traffic flow model for these conditions. Based on extensive traffic flow data, a time-sequence analysis of the data points is proposed, which makes its possible to furnish plausible interpretations for observing traffic phenomena.
