Abstract

States experienced with design-build DB projects have noted that for good work zone traffic management it is critical to develop a good project scope and requirements that include everything the Agency expects since they will guide the proposals and direct the selected Contractor team’s efforts. The tips gathered in this publication can assist Agencies with developing effective RFPs for DB projects. The target audience is Agency management and individuals who are responsible for the planning and development of DB projects, bid packages, TMPs (Transportation Managament Plans), and management of work zone safety and mobility.
