Abstract

The methods of stress and deformation analysis are applied to the structural components of the automobile tyre. In order to study the tyre in operation, stress analysis must be confined to investigation of mathematical models of the whole or part of the tyre. Experimental techniques of stress analysis are summarized with particular emphasis on the use of transducers for strain measurement.
