Abstract

The research, supported by the Dutch National Physical Planning Agency, is meant to deepen the insights in factors influencing the intensity, composition and direction of inter-regional migration flows. Several models describing the migration processes have been developed. They can be characterized as aggregate models, which are derived by 'top down' approach like the entropy models. It is the intention of this study to develop a more disaggregated model, which is derived by a 'bottom up' approach.
