Abstract
Toll roads, toll tunnels and toll bridges are not the solution for everything. In the provinces of Gelderland, Zeeland and Zuid-Holland are toll bridges and toll tunnels constructed with borrowed money. The money should be paid off by the tolltaxes. But the calculations were wrong and there is now a financial debacle. For new toll tunnels or toll bridges this should be a warning.
