Abstract

ASK-IT IP, that aims at promoting the mobility of mobility-impaired (MI) people, enabling the provision of personalized and self-configurable applications and services, devotes a significant amount of research and development effort to the integration of infomobility services with ADAS and IVICS for all. Thus, the main problem of each selected MI user group in using ASK-IT services, as well as ADAS/IVICS functionalities while driving, are defined and algorithms are developed for an integrated HMI to satisfy them. In this paper, after a brief introduction of ASK-IT Integrated Project, the afore-mentioned problems and guidelines for solutions are discussed and some first ideas, for a specific strategy towards innovative HMI elements development and ASK-IT services integration with ASAS/IVICS, are presented.
