Abstract

Ideas about improving road safety, and efforts to do this, are still based on different conceptual frameworks and different methods, which are not always effective. These conceptual frameworks and methods have now been placed in a historical perspective, leading to a dynamic system approach to improve road safety. The system approach is described here.
