Abstract

A tabulation of current Australian traffic assignment programmes is presented and commented. The relationship between task classe and program type is discussed and some conceptual insights into areas for improvement of traffic assignments techniques are given. These insights include the fitting of a time base to the traffic assignment model and the development of a macro-micro model which should allow detailed examination of specific areas.
