An instrument (code-named SM) is developed which monitored horizontal force on the vehicle arising from acceleration, deceleration and cornering. The instrument described may be helpful in the developing of the skills of the existing driver. The approach may be relevant in providing the driver with objective information about crucial parameters of vehicle and driving safety.
