Abstract

The introduction of program budgeting in Victoria has resulted in an increased emphasis on the evaluation of traffic management program expenditures.Examples supporting this are presented. Some additional studies contributing to the better understanding of resource utilisation are noted. It is concluded that an increasing emphasis on the evaluation of resource expenditures in transport is likely to continue in future.
