Abstract

The Dutch railways have the knowledge and the possibility to influence the demand, the preference and the appraisal of their own product: the journey by train. But how do present or future train users react on modifications in tariff, comfort, service etc? The trade-off analysis has shown to be a good instrument to do this marketing research.
