Abstract

Photography is an important means of recording certain kinds of information about traffic accident. Photographs can provide a permanent, accurate, and unbiased record of things specifically observed by an investigator. The techniques of taking photographs of a traffic accident under various lighting conditions and the equipment needed are described. Example photographs illustrating both good and bad information recording are provided.
