The problem of Traffic Accidents in Tanzania is far more immense than is commonly realised. Most of our people see only small segments of the whole picture, they share the common and old mistaken belief that motor vehicle accidents ''only happen to other people''. By so doing their human reaction falls short of taking due notice, and their failure to recognise the full scope of the problem has far more serious consequences than the mistake of a bad driver.
