Traffic conflicts in Britain : the past and the future.

Abstract

This paper reviews the history of traffic conflicts research in Britain, and considers its possible development in the future. The results are discussed of work on the issues of reliability, repeatability, alternatives to conflict measures, and in particular the validity of conflict techniques.
