Abstract

The Traffic Conflict Technique (TCT) is a device forindirect safety measurement. The basis for the definitionof conflicts is a sequence of events which has a finiteprobability of developing into an accident. The investi-gation of TCT in Germany was performed in three staffes1. Development of a standarized observation technique 2.Validity studies of conflicts, and 3. Practical applica-tions.
