TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2250 consists of 10 papers that examine detection distances to crosswalk markings, malfunction flash mode policies and practice, safety effectiveness of actuated advance warning systems, an advance LED warning system for rural intersections, in-lane pavement markings in advance of freeway interchanges, the use of pavement marking symbols at freeway interchanges, lighted pavement marker stop bars at intersections with light rail lines, driver preference for crosswalk marking patterns, LED streetlight application assessment project, and pedestrian and bicyclist violations at highway–rail grade crossings.
