Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board 1844 indicates that travel speeds near highway work zones decrease more with dancing diamond displays than with flashing box displays, examines supplemental pavement markings to improve safety at railroad–highway grade crossings, and discusses the use of driving simulators in conducting driver comprehension analyses of protected–permissive left-turn signal displays. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2003. For abstracts of some of the papers see C 33016 - C 33027.
