Abstract

Measurements carried out during the resurfacing of the M4 motorway, to enable estimates to be made of the delays caused to traffic by these road-works, and the cost to the community of these delays are described. The total number of vehicle-hours lost was estimated to be 13700 representing a cost to the community of 10500.
