Abstract

Intersection accidents form 45% f all casualty accidents, involving 24% of fatalities and 47% of injuries on Australian roads. Since the intersection is a small defined area, it should be amenable to succesful accident reduction measures wich as a single measure would result in the most marked effect on the general accident situation.
