The book is divided into several parts which cover a traditional, current treatment of traffic engineering, as well as a series of special topics which the practicing traffic engineer encounters in the successful execution of his responsibilities. For each chapter there is an extensive list of references which will enable the reader to pursue any subject in as great a depth as he desires.
