Abstract

The six papers in this record present the findings of studies designed to improve the basic understanding of the theory of different traffic flow situations with respect to the measurement of journey speeds and flows, the evaluation of a Markovian traffic control system, ramp control for freeway bottlenecks, and the application of a stochastic model of flow versus concentration.
